Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to manage regulations, learn procedures, and gather information.
• Experience or education that supports law enforcement duties and safety responsibilities.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree or completion of a full four-year course of study in any field to qualify for GL-5/7/9.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question individuals suspected of immigration or customs violations and inspect documents.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented individuals and smugglers near borders using surveillance.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry and perform checks and patrols as assigned.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets.
