U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) invites applications for Border Patrol Agent (BPA). CBP is a large federal law enforcement agency within the Department of Homeland Security, protecting the United States and facilitating lawful travel and trade.

BPAs perform duties to detect illegal entry, inspect documents, and apprehend individuals near borders, with career stability, comprehensive benefits, and recruitment/retention incentives up to $50,000 combined for qualified locations.

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination.
• Eligibility for GL-5/7/9/11 grades based on education or experience.

Responsabilités

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration or customs violations; inspect documents and possessions.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and federal assets.
• Interpret tracks and evidence of illegal entry; perform patrols and vehicle, foot, or waterway patrols.
