Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of immigration or customs violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Follow footprints, tracks, and evidence of illegal entry or contraband.
• Patrol borders and coastal areas using various vehicles and equipment.
