Job summary

Erie Materials Inc, Albany, NY, is seeking a Driver Boom Operator to safely operate a boom truck and crane for loading, transporting, and unloading exterior building materials to various job sites while delivering outstanding customer service. The role requires a valid NY CDL-B, clean driving record, boom crane certification, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, follow routes, and maintain documentation as part of a daytime schedule with growth

Qualifications

• Valid New York State CDL-B license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of building materials is preferred.
• Forklift/Moffett experience preferred; Boom Crane Certification required.
• Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and ability to interpret GPS/navigation.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• FMCSA vision and hearing standards must be met.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport and pick up building materials.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Operate the boom crane to load and unload materials at job sites.
• Deliver to various job sites and communicate arrival times to customers.
• Complete paperwork and maintain trip records.
• Assist in loading/unloading and help pull orders for next day deliveries.
• Read work orders to determine product needs for pickup or delivery.
