Job summary

Erie Materials seeks a Driver Boom Operator to safely operate boom trucks and cranes for loading, transporting, and unloading exterior building materials at various job sites. You will ensure timely deliveries, follow safety rules, and provide excellent customer service.

The role requires valid NY CDL, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and proficiency with GPS/navigation, with a focus on safety and efficiency. This is a full-time position based in New York.

Qualifications

• New York State CDL Class A or B with clean record.
• Minimum 1 year professional driving preferred.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Forklift and Moffett experience preferred.
• Boom crane experience required; certification preferred.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• DOT physical and drug screening pass.
• FMCSA vision/hearing requirements met.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles to transport and load/unload materials.
• Inspect vehicle pre-trip and post-trip for safety.
• Operate the boom crane to load, transport and unload materials at job sites.
• Deliver to rooftops and hard-to-reach areas with precision.
• Take required delivery photos and document deliveries.
• Coordinate with customers, dispatchers and management.
• Follow routes and schedules accurately.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with warehouse tasks and order pulling as needed.
