Job summary

Alabama Goodwill Industries (AGI) seeks an AmeriCorps Program Coordinator to help plan a BookWorks program for early literacy. The role coordinates community input, designs programs, builds partnerships, manages volunteer systems, and prepares operating-grant materials.

Reporting to the Director of Mission Services, the coordinator will organize data tools, tracking, and reporting while coordinating with partners and AGI teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
• Experience in program support, volunteer coordination, or grant-funded initiatives is preferred.
• Ability to learn grant reporting and program databases.

Responsibilities

• Maintains planning work plans, calendars, meeting records, and progress reports.
• Coordinates community needs assessments, stakeholder meetings, and literacy data review.
• Develops program design and implementation plans for children in AGI's territory.
• Drafts recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention plans for leadership review.
• Manages partnerships, volunteer systems, and site agreements.
• Tracks performance measures, data collection, and reporting for funder needs.
