Job summary

Barnes & Noble, Inc. is seeking a Barista to be a friendly face in our Dewitt, NY bookstore café. You will greet customers, suggest beverages and café items, and help customers connect with the joy of reading.

You’ll work as part of a busy team, stock deliveries, maintain cafe presentation, operate the register, and support the floor team. The role offers an hourly wage and opportunities for growth toward Senior Barista.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a cheerful, helpful way and connect readers with the right beverages and café items.
• Maintain attractive café presentation and ensure the efficient running of the Café.
• Unpack deliveries, stock the bakes case and dining area, and work the register in a quick, friendly manner.
• Support the bookfloor team and assist in keeping café areas clean and organized.
• Develop barista skills as you gain experience and stay committed to great customer service.
• Follow and uphold company policies and procedures throughout your shift.
