Job summary

Mountainland Technical College in Orem, UT is seeking a Bookstore Associate to help with shipments, orders, and customer purchases. You will ensure materials are stocked and ready for classes, and assist faculty and students in obtaining resources.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and careful data handling. You will work Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with opportunities for shift coverage and professional growth through the tuition waiver program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in computer usage, including ten-key.
• Experience with database management, data entry, and maintaining records in written or electronic formats.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and information clearly and fluently in English.
• Capable of following written and verbal instructions and adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills to manage diverse responsibilities effectively.
• Physically able to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document all incoming shipments and prepare interoffice mail for delivery to MTECH campuses.
• Process instructor orders for materials required for class instruction and ensure items are stocked in the store.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and fulfill orders accurately and on time.
• Assist customers with their purchases.
• Be willing to cover other shifts or work at different Bookstore locations as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and place orders to replenish stock as necessary.
• Participate in all required meetings and training sessions.
