Job summary

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a friendly Bookseller to welcome customers, help them find titles, and provide quick, professional service at the register. You’ll help unpack deliveries, stock shelves, and keep displays neat and inviting.

You’ll work as part of a busy store team, develop product knowledge across fiction, non-fiction and children’s books, and grow from Bookseller to Senior Bookseller with training and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and answer questions to connect readers with titles and products.
• Operate registers and assist customers quickly and professionally.
• Unpack deliveries and stock shelves to maintain neat displays.
• Maintain attractive book presentations and store cleanliness.
• Develop product knowledge across fiction, nonfiction and children’s books.
• Learn and apply loss prevention procedures and de-escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with the café team when needed and support store operations.
