Job summary

BARNES & NOBLE BOOKSELLERS, INC. is seeking a Bookseller to warmly welcome customers, connect readers with titles, and keep the store well-presented and efficiently run. You will help unpack deliveries, stock shelves, and operate the register with a friendly, professional service.

As you gain experience, you will expand your bookselling knowledge across fiction, non-fiction, and children's areas, making recommendations and supporting sales objectives while enjoying a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to fill scheduling gaps and work early mornings to late evenings, including weekends.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and help them find books and products.
• Maintain attractive store presentation and assist with shelving and displays.
• Operate registers and assist with quick, friendly checkout.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking shelves.
• Provide book recommendations and share knowledge across sections.
• Support café team when needed and follow loss prevention procedures.
