Job summary

Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Inc. seeks a friendly Bookseller to welcome customers, help them find titles, and keep the store neatly presented while handling transactions.

You will unpack deliveries, shelve books, and assist with displays, while practicing strong customer service and teamwork. This is a temporary role with variable hours and opportunities to learn and grow within the store.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a cheerful and helpful way and connect readers with titles and products.
• Unpack deliveries and shelve books; tidy displays and maintain attractive presentation of the store.
• Operate registers and assist customers with purchases in a quick, friendly manner.
• Work collaboratively with the bookstore team to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service.
• Develop product knowledge across fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books to make informed recommendations.
• Support the cafe team when needed and follow loss prevention procedures.
