Job summary

Barnes & Noble Germantown is seeking a part-time Bookseller to greet customers, assist with finding titles, and maintain engaging displays. You will handle deliveries, shelve items, and operate registers with a friendly, professional approach.

You'll develop bookselling knowledge across fiction, nonfiction and children's titles, work with store teams to meet sales goals, and grow with opportunities to advance to Senior Bookseller. Expect physical activity and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and walking.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and help them find titles and products.
• Unpack and shelve deliveries and maintain attractive displays.
• Operate registers and provide quick, friendly service.
• Support merchandising across sections and assist with stock replenishment.
• Assist cafe team and engage in loss prevention and safety procedures.
