Job summary

Books-A-Million is seeking a friendly Bookseller to work on the sales floor and at the register in a Wilmington store. You’ll greet customers, help them find books, and make checkout quick, accurate, and enjoyable, turning everyday moments into reasons to return.

You’ll collaborate with fellow Associates and store leadership in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment that blends sales, merchandising, and everyday store upkeep, with duties across departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and assist with discovery and checkout.
• Drive sales by helping customers find products and explain benefits.
• Create inviting displays and maintain a clean, inviting store environment.
• Handle transactions with care and follow loss prevention standards.
• Assist across departments and help with inventory, shelving, and upkeep.
