Job summary

Raley's is seeking a Bookkeeper to perform front end accounting operations in a fast-paced store. You will handle daily bookkeeping, banking procedures, deposits, and cash handling while delivering excellent customer service.

The role includes maintaining reports, reconciling ledgers, monitoring NSF checks, assisting auditors, and supporting the store team with a friendly, professional approach. A promotion within the team is possible with solid performance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Making effective and objective decisions regarding bookkeeping, purchases and use of office supplies and equipment.
• Answering telephones courteously and routing calls or taking messages.
• Maintain and reconcile store bookkeeping, banking procedures, cash handling, deposits and cash variation reports.
• Daily monitoring of NSF checks and bad debts with postings.
• Assist in auditing work and respond to company accountants.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and team members.
• Engage with customers, provide product information and selling suggestions.
• Provide fast and friendly customer service.
• Process cash register transactions, input costs, give change, process checks, EBTs, WIC, refunds, coupons and gift certificates.
• Keep the office, customer service counter, and check stand clean and orderly.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
