Bookkeeper (Volunteer, 5 hrs/week)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our rescue. In this role, you will ensure accurate tracking of income and expenses, maintain records for donations and grants, and prepare basic financial reports. This position requires proficiency in Quickbooks Online bookkeeping software, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. You will work remotely for five hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities:

  • Record and track income, expenses, donations, and grants.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with audits or financial reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations.

Expectations:

  • Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and commit to 5 hours weekly.

Rescue Mission: At Path of Hope Rescue we save pregnant dogs and puppies in high kill shelters in the South.

Rescue Overview: Our Spokane, WA based Rescue strives to decrease the euthanasia rate of high risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We do not have a kennel or building location and are 100% foster based.
