About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quickbooks guru to join our corporate finance team at American Photo Marketing, Inc in Ypsilanti, MI. The Bookkeeper will play a significant role in recording and documenting financial transactions to help drive our business forward. There is potential opportunity for future growth based on performance.

What You'll Do

• Utilize Quickbooks Online accounting software to record and document financial transactions.
• Prepare reconciliations and journal entries.
• Review month end closing adjustments, posting and reconciling entries, and preparing month end closing.
• Follow and make recommendations to improve internal controls and financial policies.
• Review and maintain accrued and prepaid expense items.
• Ensure that all GL accounts are reconciled and work with staff to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with accounts receivable and payable as needed.
• All others duties as assigned.

What You Bring - Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years bookkeeping experience, preferably in a closely held or privately owned company.
• 7+ years QuickBooks Online software proficiency is required.
• Knowledge of and compliance with general accounting principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with a variety of software applications and working with APIs is a plus.
