Empire Property Management Group is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. Empire Property Management Group is a locally owned and operated company located in the Lehigh Valley. Our core business is the rehabilitation of investment properties, both residential and commercial.

This is a fully in-person role.

Job Details:

  • Monday-Friday 8:30a - 5p
  • Compensation Range - $55,000 - $60,000 / year

Job Description:

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures. This role plays a critical part in the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Process payroll and coordinate with 3rd party payroll providers
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as needed
  • Support the preparation of tax documents and work with outside accountants or auditors
  • Prepare and present weekly cash flow reports to leadership, highlighting trends, concerns, and projections
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and relevant regulations
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience or relevant accounting background
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
