Job description

EurovisionAmericas Inc. (EAI) Washington D.C. is looking for a Booking Office Manager to be part of the Eurovision Services (ES) Operations Team.

ABOUT THE ES OPERATIONS TEAM:

The ES Operations division serves as central point of contact for all customers receiving operational services from Eurovision Services. The team coordinates and manages the requirements and delivery of operational services for all events, including transmissions and media services between customers (e.g. media organisations, sport federations and event enterprises). The ES Operations Team is responsible for delivering high-quality services, achieving ambitious operational objectives, implementing reliable solutions to provide outstanding value and services for our customers while optimising costs to improve our bottom line.

The Booking team plays a key role in the management of ES clients. They are the principal point of contact for clients booking services from ES. The team is in constant contact with clients and will always seek to rapidly and reliably deliver the best value for money services to all clients working with ES.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

As a Booking Office Manager you will:

  1. Be the first point of contact for clients and partners.
  2. Ensure continuity of services and coordination of all standard broadcast solutions within sports, news and other types of events.
  3. Ensure the service delivery is focused on an outstanding customer experience.
  4. Work in close collaboration across internal teams, including technical staff, global master control facilities, and a team of booking managers.
  5. Oversee the management of resources on the Eurovision Global Network and allocate resources accordingly.
  6. Develop a comprehensive understanding of client requirements, methodologies, and workflows.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate needs to have:

  1. Relevant experience in the field of broadcasting or telecom operations.
  2. Some years of experience in customer services.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of broadcasting and telecom technology (basic concepts).
  4. Excellent customer service approach and attitude (e.g. empathetic, adaptable, patient).
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Excellent team player and positive attitude.
  7. Experience working in multicultural environments.

ADDED VALUE

  1. Knowledge of transmission technologies (satellite and fiber) basic concepts.
  2. Some years of experience working on broadcast sport and news events.
  3. Work experience in the field of engineering, IT or other technical aspects of broadcasting.
  4. Ideally have experience previously working in an operational role.
  5. Practical project management experience.

EDUCATION

Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or similar degree (Master or Bachelor).
