Job summary

A premier event venue in Tysons is seeking a Booking Manager. The ideal candidate will manage booking calendars, establish relationships with industry professionals, and generate new business. Responsibilities include creating contracts and managing event logistics. The successful applicant should possess strong interpersonal skills and a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Compensation includes a competitive salary of $55,000–$60,000 and a generous benefits package, including medical and retirement plans.

  • Assist in booking concerts and events with various stakeholders.

Job description

  • Manages Booking calendars, including adding, editing and/or removing events and events holds, and responds to building availability requests in a timely manner
  • Create lease agreements and contracts as determined necessary and in the best interests of the facilities
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key touring industry professionals, including agents, managers, promoters, and producers
  • In collaboration with facility departments, research and prepare data that supports the booking efforts for specific artists, shows and events
  • Obtain information from various agencies on talent availability for events
  • Generate new business through cold calling and leads generated by attending networking meetings and events
  • Compile and maintain all event shows folders with contracts, Certificates of Insurance, and general event correspondence
  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with all facility departments
  • Aggressively promotes the use of the facility to maximize its utilization
  • Assist and collaborate with the Director of Booking to work with agents, managers, promoters, and producers to book concerts, non-concert events, family shows, and other venue content to maintain calendar fulfillment
  • Live event coverage as needed
  • Assist the Director of Booking on all Community Arts Partner bookings inclusive of, but not limited to all above responsibilities associated with the community events
  • Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum one year industry-related experience; B.A./B.S. preferred
  • Arts Administration experience beneficial
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, oral and written
  • Basic computer skills required, including experience with Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as flexibility and the ability to prioritize
  • responsibilities in a fast-paced environment are essential
  • Must be detail oriented
Computer Skills
  • Operate a personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software
  • Operate standard office equipment including copier and fax machine
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign preferred

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary in the range of $55,000–$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
