Job summary

Arandell Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookbinder/Saddle Stitch Operator for a day shift in Minnesota. You will own and operate stitching and binding equipment, ensuring top quality while leading a team of technicians to meet production goals.

The role combines hands-on operation with leadership in a climate-controlled environment. Expected to manage machine setup, maintenance, quality checks, and collaboration with the Bindery Manager to optimize production.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with stitching and/or bindery equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
  • Willing to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Bookbinder/Saddle Stitch Operator - Day Shift (6AM-6PM)

Arandell, a leader in high-quality commercial print solutions, is looking for a skilled Bookbinder to join our production team. As a Bookbinder, you'll take full ownership of your machine—whether it's a stitcher or perfect binder—ensuring top-tier quality and safety. You'll also lead a team of technicians, guiding them to meet production goals and uphold our standards of excellence. If you're ready to take the next step in your career and lead from the front, we want to talk to you. The pay range for this critical role is $24.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience.

Work fewer days with this unique schedule! Our full-time, day shift role operates from 6 AM to 6 PM, three to four days a week. This means you'll have more days off to recharge and pursue your passions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO ON THE A-TEAM:

  • Sets up and controls the assigned machine for each job specified.
  • Maintains machines regular maintenance, keeps machine ready to run product, and ensures a clean and neat work area.
  • Checks and controls quality of products on a running basis.
  • Manages and directs the supporting staff to productivity needs.
  • Runs the machine at the optimal production speeds relating to the specified goals set by the Bindery Manager or Supervisor.
  • Seeks assistance when necessary to solve production requirements that may be causing slower production speeds.
  • Provides feedback to management and supervision when slowdowns or issues occur on machines. Strong communication skills are necessary
  • Performs all special duties assigned by the Bindery Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Performs all duties safely and in accordance with all safety rules and requirements.
  • Maintains a positive customer relations approach towards visitors, customers, and employees.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with stitching and/or bindery equipment.
  • Ability to utilize logic and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Requires the ability to provide effective and clear written and oral communication.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, overtime, and be responsive to manufacturing questions as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Frequent use of hands to type, finger, handle, grasp or touch objects and tools.
  • Frequently standing and walking, occasionally climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, reaching.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
