Job summary

Cork & Pig Tavern is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations across multiple restaurant locations. You will work closely with Corporate Accounting and Operations teams to ensure accurate coding of invoices and timely financial records.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a restaurant or multi-location setting, with solid knowledge of basic accounting principles and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
• Restaurant or multi location accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience with accounts payable reconciliations and general ledger activity.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and independently research solutions.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both accounting and restaurant operations teams.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.
• Restaurant365 experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely financial records for multiple restaurant locations.
• Process and code invoices ensuring expenses are assigned to the correct location and account.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Reconcile credit card and other payment activity.
• Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding.
• Assist with month end closing procedures.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with vendor account reconciliation.
• Enter and maintain financial information in Restaurant365 (R365).
• Assist with maintaining accurate vendor, customer, and account information.
• Review restaurant financial activity and investigate unusual or incorrect transactions.
• Assist with payroll related accounting and reconciliation as needed.
• Maintain organized electronic records and supporting documentation.
• Work with restaurant managers to resolve accounting questions and discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, statements, payments and account questions.
• Assist the accounting team with reporting, audits and other accounting projects.
• Help ensure accounting procedures are consistently followed across all Cork & Pig locations.
• Provide additional accounting support as needed as the company continues to grow.
