Job summary

Detroit Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Bone Marrow Transplant in Detroit, Michigan. The RN will join the patient care team, managing nursing care for a group of patients and their families with independent judgment and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians, delegating care, monitoring progress, and facilitating discharge planning. Requirements include a nursing degree and Michigan RN licensure; AHA BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing program is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in Michigan required.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patients for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making.
