Job summary

Home location is San Marcos with possible rotations within the San Diego service area; scheduled shifts range 21–32 hours weekly. Basic Life Support and CA licensing prerequisites apply.

Qualifications

• On-the-job or formal bone densitometry training required.
• Prerequisite for the limited license exam in bone densitometry in California.
• California Bone Densitometry Technologist Permit required.
• Basic Life Support within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate DXA/bone densitometry equipment per protocol.
• Interview patient, assess history, and prepare/perform scans.
• Explain procedures to patients and archive data.
• Enter clinical data into databases and generate reports.
• Meet department productivity norms and assist with QA.
