Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Bond Attorney with proven expertise in municipal finance, tax law, and business transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax-exempt financing, including governmental bonds, 501(c)(3) entities, healthcare financings, and public/private infrastructure projects. Experience with tax credit transactions, such as low-income housing, new markets, and historic tax credits, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on federal, international, state, and local tax implications in business transactions.
  • Counsel publicly traded companies, private entities, and company owners on complex tax matters.
  • Provide legal guidance on healthcare financings, conduit financings, and public/private infrastructure projects.
  • Structure and negotiate tax credit-related transactions, including new markets tax credits, low-income housing tax credits, and historic tax credits.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to municipal finance and tax-exempt financing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop innovative solutions in tax and finance law.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and emerging trends in municipal finance and tax law.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active PA or MD bar membership.
  • Proven experience in municipal finance, tax law, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in tax-exempt financing, including healthcare and public/private infrastructure financings.
  • Strong knowledge of tax credit-related transactions such as new markets, low-income housing, and historic tax credits.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.
