To be considered for this role, you will have experience reviewing engineering drawings, CAD models, product structures, and Bills of Material (BOMs) within PLM and ERP environments. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and tracking BOM discrepancies, validating engineering releases, and ensuring alignment between CAD data, PLM records, ERP systems, and supply chain requirements. You will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Configuration Management teams to improve BOM accuracy and manufacturing readiness. This is an onsite position supporting a critical initiative focused on reducing procurement delays, material shortages, revision mismatches, and shop floor interruptions. Success in this role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills. The BOM & Configuration Analyst will work across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Production teams to investigate issues, gather information, and drive resolution of BOM and configuration discrepancies. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and willing to take ownership of issues from identification through closure.

Job Duties
  • Review and validate Bills of Material (BOMs) against released CAD drawings, engineering models, and product structures.
  • Navigate PLM/Vault systems to analyze engineering releases, revisions, configurations, and part relationships.
  • Compare engineering BOMs against ERP and supply chain systems to identify quantity discrepancies, missing purchased parts, incorrect components, and revision mismatches.
  • Document, prioritize, and track BOM and configuration issues through resolution, coordinating corrective actions with engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Support procurement readiness and manufacturing readiness reviews by identifying risks associated with material shortages, supplier validation, and release status.
  • Generate BOM audits, discrepancy reports, trend analyses, and program metrics to improve data quality and process performance.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Configuration Management teams to drive product data accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Act as a cross-functional liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and * Shop Leadership to resolve BOM and configuration-related issues.
  • Proactively investigate discrepancies by engaging stakeholders across the organization and driving corrective actions to closure.
  • Facilitate communication between teams to ensure product data, procurement requirements, and manufacturing needs remain aligned.
  • Support schedule and manufacturing readiness objectives by identifying issues early and escalating risks when necessary.
Required
  • Five to seven years of experience supporting BOM management, configuration management, manufacturing engineering, product data management, or related disciplines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assemblies, CAD models, and product structures.
  • Experience working with Autodesk Vault or similar PLM/PDM systems, including navigating product structures, engineering releases, revisions, and configuration-controlled data.
  • Experience validating and reconciling data across engineering, PLM, ERP, manufacturing, and supply chain systems.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Program organizations.
  • Proven ability to independently investigate issues, gather information from multiple sources, and drive resolution without direct authority.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed issue-tracking records in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and work collaboratively across functional teams.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, "go get it done" mentality and a willingness to engage directly with stakeholders to obtain information and resolve issues.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar platforms. Hands-on modeling experience is not required, but candidates must be comfortable reviewing drawings, models, assemblies, and associated BOM data.
  • Strong understanding of revision control, engineering releases, engineering change processes, and product configuration management principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies across multiple data sources.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Experience supporting engineering change processes, ECOs, and configuration control activities.
  • Experience supporting complex manufactured products within entertainment, industrial equipment, aerospace, defense, or similar industries.
  • Familiarity with procurement workflows, supplier validation, purchased part management, and material readiness activities.
  • Experience performing BOM audits, discrepancy investigations, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
