Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Bolt-Up Fitter in Baytown, TX to perform flange bolting, assist with blinds for pressure tests, and assemble piping spools.

Candidates should have 1.5+ years in bolt-up fitting or boilermaking, be able to work 12-hour shifts, and pass safety requirements. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and attention to detail in a gas plant construction setting.

Qualifications

• At least 1.5 years of experience as a helper, bolt-up fitter, or boilermaker.
• Willing and able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 das per week.
• Must be willing and able to meet all physical demands of the job.
• Must be able and willing to attend mandatory safety meetings.
• Must be a safety role model.

Responsibilities

• Tighten and loosen bolts on flange connections per ISO drawings and work plan
• Assist with installation/removal of blinds as needed for pressure testing purposes
• Possess skilled knowledge of pipe fittings, bolts, valves, etc. as required
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications
• Use impact wrenches, combination wrenches, and line up pins to install valves and piping spools
