Job summary

Key Fasteners Corporation in Berne, IN is seeking General Production Associates for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with 3 months of training on the 1st shift. You will operate cold heading machines, perform precise setups, and inspect parts for quality using gauges.

Forklift duties and adherence to process standards are required. Earn a competitive hourly wage with a $1.50 shift premium on 2nd shift and eligible bonuses.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to production processes.
• Good attendance and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate single or multiple cold heading machines.
• Plan and perform close tolerance setups with minimal assistance.
• Use scales, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to inspect work.
• Load and unload product in the process using a forklift.
• Read and follow process standards, control plans, and work instructions.
• Start machines, observe operations, inspect first runs for conformance.
• Change tooling at setup and make necessary adjustments.

**General Production Associates**

Hours: 2nd Shift Available: 3:00PM - 11:30PM / Monday - Friday

3 months training on 1st Shift.

Compensation

$19.75 plus a $1.50 shift premium on 2nd Shift.

**What's The Job?**

• Setup and operates single and /or multiple cold heading machines to produce quality products
• Plan and perform close tolerance setups with little or no assistance
• Use scales, micrometers, dial indicators and fixed gages to check and gage work
• Load and unload product in the process using a forklift
• Must be able to read and follow process standards, control plans and work instructions
• Start machine, observes operation, inspects first run and sample work piece to ensure part conforms to specifications
• Remove and install specified tooling at changeovers and make all necessary adjustments.
