Job summary

Goodfellow Bros. (GBI) is expanding into Boise, Idaho, and seeks a Project Engineer 2 to help establish and grow our presence in this new market. The PE will work with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and agencies to keep work on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 2–5 years in heavy civil construction, plus proficiency with Word, Excel, and MS Project; Viewpoint Vista and HCSS HeavyJob are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is required.
• 2–5 years of experience in heavy civil construction is required.
• Must be proficient with Word, Excel and Project; Viewpoint Vista and HCSS HeavyJob knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze information gathered at site inspections, blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation.
• Coordinate pre-construction surveys to identify potential risks and verify original site conditions.
• Coordinate project schedule and monitor construction progress.
• Review subcontract quotations and participate in subcontract negotiations and preparation.
• Maintain project files and record-keeping of plans, specs, budgets and changes.
