Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Intermediate/Associate Process Chemical Engineer to support design and construction for complex manufacturing facilities in Boise, Idaho. You will collaborate with client stakeholders, contractors, and design teams to develop design documents and oversee tool installations.

The role emphasizes wet/dry piping, process gases, ultrapure water systems, and facility upgrades. Local candidates or relocation are required, with on-site/hybrid work and standard 8-hr schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3+ years of practical facilities engineering experience.
• Experience with process piping, chemicals, gases, water, wastewater, pumps, tanks, etc.
• 3+ years of experience with design project delivery processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be local to Boise, ID, or willing to relocate.
• U.S. work authorization; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop design requirements and construction documents for complex manufacturing tool installations and core facility infrastructure upgrades.
• Perform design and layout of wet and dry piping, process chemical piping, process gases, and process mechanical systems.
• Size, select, and specify equipment and components; perform engineering calculations.
• Develop utility requirement documents for next-generation and prototype manufacturing tools.
• Interact with clients, multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and equipment manufacturers.
• Provide construction-phase support including RFI responses and on-site support.
