Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of experience in the skill, depending on mechanic level.
• Proficiency with construction tools (grinders, oxy/acetylene torch).
• Rigging experience.
• National Certification preferred (may be required).
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and policy acceptance.
• Compliance with safety requirements at job sites.

Responsibilities

• Locates and marks reference points for columns and plates on foundation.
• Attaches rigging or signals crane operator to lift parts.
• Aligns structures or plate sections for boiler frames and tanks.
• Bolts structures and sections together; positions drums and headers.
• Installs components and aids in testing assembled vessels.
