Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks Sales and Service, Inc. (CBSS) seeks a Service Technician to lead core welding projects and perform planned and emergency boiler services. You will tackle ASME code welds, assist with troubleshooting, and work a schedule that may include overnight travel and weekends as needed.

Based at our Fenton, MO office, you must have a high school diploma, be able to pass the ASME 6G test, and be capable of specialized pipefitting and mechanical tasks. Travel up to 50% is required.

• Ability to pass an ASME certified 6G test.
• Basic mechanical and pipefitting skills.
• Willingness to travel with up to 50% overnight.

• Lead on core welding projects for ASME code and standard welds.
• Provide planned and emergency services to Watertube, Firetube and auxiliary support equipment.
• Assist with complex boiler mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Location:

This job is based out of ourFenton, MOofficebut our team members may go directly to a scheduled jobsite each day.Relocation assistance will be provided for any non-local candidates selected for hire.

Job Summary:

Provide planned and emergency services toWatertube, Firetube and auxiliary support equipment. Perform andleadthe welding of code and non-code items/structures.

Essential functions:

• Function as the lead on core welding projects, for ASME code and standard welds.
• Ability, aptitude and desire to learn complex boiler mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, as well as some combustion tuning & controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

• The ability to pass an ASME certified 6G test
• Basic mechanical and pipefitting skills
• Ability to stay overnight for complex projects and work weekends and after-hours for emergency situations
• Prior Boilermaker experience is strongly preferred

Travel Requirements:

• Daily local travelwith up to 50% overnight travel.

Physical Skill & Effort:

As a Service Technician, you will need to be able to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds and will require climbing, bending, being on your feet for long periods of time, stooping, and working in confined and elevated areas. Safe daily driving and infrequentout of towntravel will be necessary.

Working Conditions and Hazards:

Able to work in confined and elevated areas. Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
