Job summary

Three Rivers Construction Alliance is seeking apprentices for Boilermaker work in the Chicago area. The program spans four years (6,000 hours total, including 144 hours of class work yearly).

Wages advance each six months from 60% of journeyman wage to 95% over eight 6-month periods, with benefits including health, welfare, pension, and annuity. Applicants must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED; welding/blueprint reading are helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Welding experience and blueprint reading are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and rigging work in powerhouses, chemical plants and refineries.
• Erect and maintain smoke stacks, water towers, tanks and pressure vessels.
• Work in extreme weather, heights, and on scaffolds including sky climbers.
