Job summary

FLS is seeking a qualified Boilermaker to join our field service and workshop teams. You will support workshop operations and on-site customers across the mining sector, performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections to maintain safe, reliable equipment.

The role requires hands-on technical capability, strong safety practices, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams. Training and career growth are supported within our global organisation.

Qualifications

• Recognised Boilermaker trade qualification.
• Field service experience with fixed plant equipment in mining or mineral processing.
• Experience with wash plant equipment is highly regarded.
• Strong skills in equipment maintenance, repairs and fault identification.
• A safety-first mindset with compliance and quality workmanship.
• Confident communication with customers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Good time management, planning and problem-solving, able to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to use digital systems for service reports and records.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair equipment to OEM standards.
• Undertake repairs and maintenance in workshop and on customer sites.
• Inspect equipment, identify defects and propose repair solutions.
• Respond to breakdowns and assist in restoring availability.
• Assist with commissioning and ongoing maintenance support.
• Prepare clear photographic reports and document findings for customers.

The Opportunity

As a Boilermaker, you'll play an important role in supporting our workshop operations and customers across the mining industry. From equipment repairs and preventative maintenance to on-site technical support, you'll be helping ensure our equipment performs safely, reliably and efficiently.

Here's What You'll Be Doing

• Equipment Maintenance & Repairs: Service, maintain and repair FLS equipment to high-quality OEM standards.
• Workshop & Field Support: Undertake repairs, servicing and maintenance in the workshop and at customer sites.
• Inspections & Fault Identification: Conduct routine equipment inspections, identify defects and recommend practical repair solutions.
• Breakdown Support: Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist in restoring equipment availability while minimising downtime.
• Commissioning & Technical Support: Assist customers with equipment commissioning, servicing and ongoing maintenance requirements.
• Customer Reporting: Prepare clear photographic reports, document findings and provide recommendations to customers.
• Quality & Safety: Deliver work safely, efficiently and in accordance with established procedures and technical standards.

• Trade Qualification: Recognised Boilermaker trade qualification.
• Industry Experience: Previous field service experience, ideally working with fixed plant equipment in mining or mineral processing.
• Wash Plant Knowledge: Experience with wash plant equipment will be highly regarded.
• Technical Capability: Strong skills in equipment maintenance, repairs and fault identification.
• Safety-First Mindset: A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, compliance and quality workmanship.
• Communication Skills: Confidence communicating with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Organisation & Initiative: Strong time management, planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
