Job Summary:
Service and repair condensing, non-condensing, water tube, fire tube and pulse type boilers. Utilize knowledge of heating systems and associated burner/control systems to maintain our current boiler customer base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Ideal candidate should have 2 to 5 years’ experience in troubleshooting and servicing boilers from light commercial to industrial water-tube on a variety of boiler types and manufacturers. Experience on boiler fire control systems and understand all aspects of boiler safety and operation. Must possess good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to ensure effective teamwork and customer relations. Must possess valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements to operate company vehicle. Must be available for some overtime, on-call, and weekend work.
Language Skills
Must possess strong internal and external communication skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Mathematical Skills
Must possess basic math skills. Ability to perform these basic operations using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complex written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver’s License required.
Physical Demands
Must be able to climb ladders, lift and carry 50 or more pounds, distinguish colors for electrical work and tolerate confined spaces. Work will involve heights and/or seasonal temperature extremes such as excessive cold or heat. Must be able to work in confined, cramped or tight spaces. Work may often require exposure to dust, dirt, common allergens, refrigerants or other potentially hazards conditions.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required while performing tasks.
