Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with federal or government facilities preferred.
• Valid boiler operator or boiler technician certification/license per state/facility requirements.
• Strong knowledge of boiler operations, controls and safety systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Pre-employment physical examination required.
• Lift up to 100 pounds.
• Work may involve exposure to hazardous agents and environments.
• Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance may be required.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Job Description

• Operate,monitor,andmaintainboiler systems, including associated pumps, valves, piping, and control systems
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenanceto ensureboilersoperatesafelyand efficiently
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair boiler and auxiliary system issues
• EnsureplantoperationscomplywithOSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations, as well as site-specific safety requirements
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, supervisors, and facility staff to support overall plant operations

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 2 years of HVAC experience
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a related fieldispreferred
• Experience working in federal or government facilitiesispreferred
• Valid boiler operator or boiler technician certification/license, as required bythestate or facility
• Strong working knowledge of boiler operations, controls, and safety systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operating procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• This position will require a pre-employment physical exam
• This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds
• Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, noise, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals)
• You maybe requiredtoparticipatein medical surveillance programs
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach during shifts
• Must be able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items
• Must be able to safely climb and descend ladders, stairways, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms and perform work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet
• Must be able to perform work above shoulder level, including reaching, lifting, and manipulating tools and materials overhead
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen,as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
