A leading company in the heating industry is looking for a Boiler Service Technician Level 3 in Greenville, NC. This position involves the advanced service and maintenance of boiler systems, emphasizing proficiency in troubleshooting and customer satisfaction. Applicants should have an associate degree and relevant experience while ensuring adherence to safety and performance standards.
Summary- The Boiler Service Technician-Level 3 is responsible for advanced service, maintenance, and repair of hot water and steam boiler systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, including burner setup and combustion on dual-fuel systems, as well as a solid understanding of control and motor wiring. Candidates must have knowledge of 3-element feedwater systems, parallel positioning controls, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues with analog circuits and transmitters. The ideal technician ensures high-performance, safety, and efficiency while delivering expert-level service to our customers.

Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; 5 years of related experience in field.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver's license, Universal EPA certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The physical demands of the position include occasional sitting; frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing; and constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping. Material handling demands include lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs., frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the Very Heavy Physical Demand Classification (PDC). Must be able to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to wear standard necessary Personal Protective Equipment that is required by statute or risk assessment, for protecting worker safety.

This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and possible extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. The associate is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration. The associate is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
