Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Boiler Technician Trainee for a local manufacturing facility. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in boiler and fuel-handling operations, with emphasis on safety and reliable attendance.

Ideal candidates have experience with heavy equipment, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn all aspects of plant operations. The position provides weekly pay, benefits, and a path to permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn boiler operations.
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment and around moving equipment.
• Dependable attendance and strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and conveyor controls to transport fuel to boilers.
• Assist with the operation and maintenance of the hog fuel system.
• Perform basic water chemistry testing.
• Read and accurately log information from water meters, gauges, sight glasses, and other equipment.
• Change water and air filters as needed.
• Assist with repairs to boilers, piping, valves, gauges, and related equipment.
• Monitor fuel inventories including wood chips, sawdust, shavings, and bark.
• Report fuel conditions and operational concerns to the Power Plant Operator.
• Follow all plant safety procedures and operating guidelines.
