Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or related field.
• Must hold a valid State of New Jersey Black Seal High-Pressure Boiler Operator License.
• Mechanical maintenance experience in power/steam plants or heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with CMMS and industrial safety practices (LOTO, confined space, hot work).

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant mechanical equipment and systems, documenting work in CMMS.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and overhaul equipment related to steam generation and distribution (boilers, pumps, valves, piping, etc).
• During outages, inspect equipment, identify deficiencies, and perform repairs safely and efficiently.
• Apply precision maintenance: alignment, bearing/seal replacement, lubrication, vibration troubleshooting.
• Perform pipefitting, rigging, fabrication, and installation/repair of piping, valves, supports, and related equipment.
• Use drawings and diagrams to troubleshoot and complete assigned work safely.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify abnormal conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and contractors to improve plant performance and procedures.
• Maintain maintenance records and liaise with OEMs/contractors to ensure safety and quality.
• Support a strong safety culture and comply with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
