Job summary

Cregger Plumbing is seeking a Boiler Service Technician in Ferndale, MI to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential and commercial boiler systems. You will troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation while documenting findings for customers.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of boiler/hydronic experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of boiler, hydronic heating, HVAC, or mechanical service experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are required.
• Knowledge of boiler systems, controls, pumps, valves, and related heating equipment.
• Plumbing Apprentice License preferred; HVAC degree or trade school certification highly regarded.
• Valid driver’s license and strong customer service orientation are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential and commercial boiler systems.
• Troubleshoot heating system issues and provide effective solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on boiler equipment.
• Test system performance and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with customers.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation.
• Follow all company safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes.
