Cibo Vita Inc. is seeking a dedicated Boiler Room Technician I to join our facilities team in Totowa, NJ.

The role focuses on maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of boiler systems, steam rooms, and related utilities to support production and ensure safe, compliant operation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial boiler systems, understands utilities engineering principles, and is prepared for a fast-paced manufacturing environment with after-hours availability as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Boiler Operator License or certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Proven experience with boiler systems and steam room equipment (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Knowledge of steam, water, and compressed air systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain high- and low-pressure boiler systems and steam room equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance for safe and efficient performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime and support production.
• Maintain logs and documentation for safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to support production needs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA and related bodies.
• Assist with system upgrades and equipment modifications.

This role is primarily responsible for the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of boiler systems, steam rooms, and related utilities. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with industrial boiler systems, steam generation equipment, and a solid understanding of utilities engineering principles. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain high- and low-pressure boiler systems and steam room equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient system performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure consistent utilities support.
• Maintain logs, records, and documentation for compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to support production needs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies as applicable.
• Assist with utility upgrades, system installations, and equipment modifications as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and support after-hours operations as required. Qualifications:

• Physical ability to lift equipment and perform maintenance in various environments. Working Conditions
• Exposure to heat, steam, noise, and industrial equipment.
• May require standing, climbing, and lifting for extended periods.
