Qualifications

• Experience or training demonstrating ability to operate and maintain boiler plant equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, specifications, diagrams and blueprints.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment used for maintenance and repairs in boiler plants.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate boiler plant and auxiliary equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Monitor gauges, logs and readings; anticipate changes to prevent issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and diagrams for repairs.
• Use hand and power tools, test equipment, and control panels (Siemens/Johnson Controls).
• Maintain logs and provide shift turnover; ensure safety and customer service.
• Communicate with staff per policy regarding alarms and safety procedures.
• Perform housekeeping and operate propane storage and related equipment as needed.
• Monitor gas detection systems and ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations.
