Liquid Environmental Solutions in Houston, TX, is seeking a Boiler Operator to join our team.

This full-time position offers a 6am–3pm shift and requires at least a Grade 2 City of Houston Boilers license. The pay ranges from $40/hr (Grade 2) to $42/hr (Grade 1 license) and the job is based at 250 Gelhorn Dr, Houston, TX 77013. Expect hands-on maintenance, PLC familiarity, safety compliance, and parts repair as core duties.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Stationary Engineer certification Grade 2 required, Grade 1 preferred.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance software. PLC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts and lubricates and cleans parts as needed in accordance with food/beverage manufacturing quality system practices.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices and starts devices to test their performance.
• Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and uses intuition and experience to complement data.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
• Able to understand P.L.C.
• Must have basic knowledge of electricity and welding.
• Able to read and interpret written information and able to write clearly and informatively.
• Ability to troubleshoot all equipment and adjust palletizing equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Preventative Maintenance software. PLC experience a plus.
