Job Description:
Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the part-time positions of Boiler Operator / Utility Plant Specialist II (T0189, T0190). The successful candidate will be responsible for the shift operation of the 101,400 lbs./hour heating plant and distribution system to ensure the plant is operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all environmental rules and regulations. This position is considered emergency personnel, which requires the selected candidate to report to work or be called in due to inclement weather, an emergency, staff shortage, etc.

This is a part-time, temporary wage, non-exempt position in a pay band 3. Commonwealth of Virginia benefits do not accompany this position. A successful criminal background investigation is required. AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply.
