About The Role

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building system operations, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.

This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, supporting preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do
  1. Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems, ensuring compliance with standards.
  2. Follow all applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.
  3. Maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
  4. Assist with implementing preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and perform emergency repairs when necessary.
  5. Handle hazardous materials safely and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
  6. Inspect building systems like fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation and environmental compliance.
  7. Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide innovative solutions.
  8. Share knowledge and mentor others within the team.
  9. Lead by example, fostering teamwork and consensus building.
  10. Impact customer service, operations, and project activities within and outside the team.
  11. Work within broad guidelines and explain complex information clearly.
What You’ll Need
  1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with 4-5 years of relevant experience; certifications like Universal CFC preferred.
  2. Physical ability to perform tasks involving stooping, standing, walking, climbing, and lifting heavy loads.
  3. Ability to analyze information and exercise judgment.
  4. Willingness to consider new perspectives.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  6. Strong organizational skills and mathematical ability for financial calculations.
