Job Description

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a Boiler Operator to join our team on a Per Diem basis.

Major Responsibilities

• Operate boiler and chiller plant systems and machinery according to specified parameters.
• Perform routine tests on boiler and chill water systems and treat them chemically to maintain standards.
• Conduct preventative and repair maintenance on boiler and chiller machinery.
• Respond to emergencies in boiler and chiller plants following operating instructions.
• Clean plant spaces, equipment, and piping.
• Report to the Chief Boiler Operator.

Employment Details

Type: Part-time

Shift: Rotating shifts (7:00 am - 3:00 pm, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am)

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Completion of an approved high-pressure steam boiler operations course
• Current Fireman License with the City of Wilmington

Must work well independently, perform inspections, document readings and logs, and communicate effectively during shift handoffs.
