Job summary

Hudson Regional Hospital in Hoboken, NJ seeks an experienced Boiler Room Operator to operate and monitor the hospital power plant, maintaining essential heating, cooling and steam systems. The role requires ensuring safe, efficient plant operation, recording fuel levels, samples and safety checks.

The ideal candidate has a blue seal fireman license, OSHA/NFPA/NIOSH/DEP/EPA knowledge, and at least five years of boiler operator experience, with strong communication skills and clean, precise data

Qualifications

• High School graduate with Blue Seal Fireman License.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, DEP, EPA, and applicable State and Federal regulations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an industrial boiler operator.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interpret technical data.
• Good vision (20/20 corrected) and ability to operate hospital power plant.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the hospital's power plant to support heating, cooling and steam systems.
• Measure fuel levels and perform safety testing and sample analyses.

Salary Range: $30.00 To $30.00 Hourly

What You'll Be Doing

Operates and monitors the Hospital's Power Plant with regard to essential systems which provide Heating, Air Conditioning, and Steam. Maintains an efficient environment by measuring Fuel Levels. Performing sample analysis and safety testing. Uses specialized knowledge to determine preventive maintenance and equipment service needs. Maintains log and records as required.

What We're Looking For

Education: High School Graduate. Blue Seal Fireman License. Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, DEP, EPA, and other applicable State and Federal Regulations including Safety.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience as industrial boiler operator.

Skills: Good communication skills, ability to interpret technical data 20/20 correctable vision and ability to operate Hospital Power Plant.
