Job Summary

This is a first shift position from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with on-call rotating weekends and holidays. The hourly rate ranges from $27.50 to $31.50.

Responsibilities

1. Monitoring and repairing boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems.
2. Completing preventative maintenance as required.
3. Constructing, finishing, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems or related facilities using power and hand tools.
4. Cleaning, lubricating, servicing, and diagnosing malfunctions of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems, and similar equipment, with appropriate training, certification, and licensing.
5. Reading blueprints, specifications, and models to plan work layout.
6. Maintaining logs, performing rounds, and completing tests and inspections.
7. Responding to emergency problems and performing emergency repairs as needed.
8. Recommending modifications or improvements to preventive maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Boiler Operator in an institutional setting.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to use computerized work order systems.
• HS Diploma or GED.
