Job summary

Vapor Power International is seeking a full-time Boiler Field Service & Start-up Technician. The role can be based in the regions of one of our plants and requires extensive travel across the U.S.

and overseas to install, start up, and service Vapor Power steam generators and thermal fluid heaters. The candidate should be proficient with PLC and HMI devices, comfortable using hand tools, test meters, and a combustion analyzer to set fuel/air ratios, and capable of working at various customer

Qualifications

• Experience writing/loading/editing PLC/HMI programs, preferably RS Logix500.
• 3 years working with PLC and HMI devices.
• Experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley controllers preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• 3+ years in related fields; read wiring/piping diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform field start-ups at customer locations nationwide and worldwide.
• Assist customers and service technicians with troubleshooting of controls and circuits.
• Provide field service at customer sites for Vapor Power generators and heaters.
• Conduct burner combustion and operation testing before shipping.
• Provide phone support and write technical operation documents.
