Delaware Valley Job Corps in Callicoon, NY is seeking a maintenance professional to manage preventive maintenance, repairs, and supervision of staff. The role supports the safety and reliability of our student housing and training facilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of Center facilities, grounds and systems.
• Supervises maintenance staff in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
• May train Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department.
• Follows integrity guidelines and prevents data manipulation.
• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on facilities, grounds and systems.
• Inspects the work of other maintenance personnel.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, lifting and more.
• Researches and recommends replacement equipment as needed.
• May oversee training activities of students in the maintenance area.
• May coordinate with external contractors for repairs and equipment replacement.
• Conducts periodic inspections of building systems and equipment.
• Provides supervision and training to Work-Based Learning students.
• Produces quality work in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
• Maintains attendance, accountability and productivity standards.
• Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet goals and deadlines.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm, Saturday & Sunday OFF

Pay Rate:

$29.93 per hour

• May provide supervision and training to Job Corps' Work-Based Learning assigned to the department.

• Researches and recommends purchase of replacement equipment as needed.
• May be asked to oversee the training activities of students assigned to the maintenance area.
• May be asked to oversee the activities and quality of performance of outside contractors performing repairs and/or replacement of equipment.
• Conducts periodic inspections of building systems and equipment to ensure working quality.
• May coordinate activities with the CTT program, if applicable.
• Conducts inspections and maintains code and safety requirements.
• Provides supervision and training to Job Corps' Work-Based Learning students.
• Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.
• Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
• Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities.
• Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties.
