A leading company is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose and repair operational issues with boiler controls and accessories. Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of mechanical systems and have relevant experience. Job Description:
Diagnose and repair operational problems with boiler controls and accessories. Responsible for new machine installation, start-ups, repairs, and selling service contracts.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Must have a strong understanding of Mechanical Equipment Applications, Ladder logic, and electrical drawings. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Education/Experience: High school diploma with at least two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of commercial and industrial boiler systems, Programmable Logic and Direct Digital Controls, combustion, emissions, efficiency testing, flame safeguard controls, HVACR systems, steam systems, and electrical systems.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills and MS Office Suite. Experience with control software is required.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License, Apprentice or Journeyman License. Optional: First or Second Grade Engineer’s License.
Ability: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and communicating effectively with groups.
Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems involving limited standardization. Capable of interpreting instructions in various formats.
Work Environment: Work is performed at customer sites with varying climate and noise levels. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles may occur. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Visual and physical dexterity required, including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Occasionally required to stand and use hands.
